April 10th, 2018

A well-known businessman, for legal purposes identified only as Ladislav B., is facing seven years in prison in the case of an unjustified VAT refund, Dennik N daily reports on Tuesday. The Bratislava II District Court is dealing with the charge of the Special Prosecution Office for the criminal offence of non-paying the tax and insurance premium, which relates to the VAT payment to the company BL 202 in connection with the purchase of apartments in the Five Star Residence complex. The daily says that the case will be dealt with by Judge Maria Szaboova, who was appointed to the judge post by President Andrej Kiska in 2015.
