Bus accident in Budapest leaves 27 injured

May 29th, 2018

A bus accident on the road from central Budapest to Liszt Ferenc International Airport overnight left 27 passengers injured, eight of them seriously, the communications director on the Hungarian Ambulance Service said on Tuesday. Of the eight passengers seriously hurt, most suffered injuries to the head. None are in a life-threatening condition, he said. A bus with Ukrainian license plates rammed into a height limit gate ahead of an underpass, which "as good as shaved off" the roof of the vehicle, a spokesman of the disaster management authority said.
