Buildings worldwide light up for Poland's independence centenary

Major buildings, bridges and monuments were illuminated worldwide on Saturday and Sunday with the white and red of the Polish flag in celebration of Poland's Independence centenary and Independence Day. Christ the Redeemer, the colossal statue of Jesus Christ at the summit of Mount Corcovado, Rio de Janeiro, lit up in white and red. The tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the pyramids in Giza in Egypt, the building of the Polish Honorary Consulate in Manila in the Philippines, the Three Crosses monument and two bridges in Vilnius, the Chain Bridge in Budapest and the Park Bridge in Kiev were illuminated with white and red colours on Poland's Independence Day on Sunday.
