Environment Minister Jan Budaj and Finance Minister Eduard Heger have agreed that the national recovery plan will include an agenda concerning the protection of biodiversity, drought prevention and adapting to climate change, the Environment Ministry told TASR on Tuesday. Budaj and Heger discussed allocating more money that Slovakia will receive from the Next Generation EU fund towards green goals last week. Non-governmental organisations also demanded that the national recovery plan should pay more attention to the environment agenda. While the two ministers have already agreed on some goals, the Environment Ministry said that the talks are set to continue.
