Bill on UK citizens' rights clears lower house

The Czech lower house on Wednesday passed a bill proposing that in the case of a hard Brexit, UK citizens living in the Czech Republic would be granted equivalent rights with EU citizens by end-2020. At present, some 8,000 UK citizens in total are resident in the Czech Republic. The bill would only come into effect if the UK leaves the EU without a divorce agreement.
