ANO still most popular party, CSSD sees decline

August 27th, 2019

PM Andrej Babis's ANO would win the Czech elections with 29.5 percent, if held in August, followed by 14.5 percent of the vote for the Pirates and 13 percent for the Civic Democrats (ODS), according to the Median agency public opinion poll results sent to CTK today. Most parties experienced a downward tendency, chief among them the junior government Social Democrats (CSSD) with a decline from 8 to 6.5 percent of the votes. There would be nine parties with seats in the Chamber of Deputies after the hypothetical elections.
