V4 + EaP Ministerial Meeting in Budapest: Statement

April 29th, 2014

"In the face of a substantial change in the geopolitical context we need to react effectively to the new challenges," reads a special statement by Visegrad Group (V4) foreign ministers who come to Budapest for informal consultations with their EaP counterparts.

The ministers identified the following priorities: signing the EU Association Agreements with Georgia and Moldova this coming June, implementing the EU Association Agreement with Ukraine, and signing its economic part after presidential elections have been held in the country; supporting reforms of the most committed EaP countries, stressing that a perspective of European integration remains the best stimulus for deep reforms, and adjusting relations with each EaP country to its needs and ambitions, taking into account current geopolitical context.
