President Milos Zeman has invited King of Spain Felipe VI for an official visit to the Czech Republic in the congratulation on his recent 50th birthday, Zeman's spokesman Jiri Ovcacek told journalists today. Zeman also said ties were "friendly and problem-free", following the tradition of long-term cooperation, especially in the sphere of culture and education. "The Cervantes Institute, which you officially opened along with your wife Letizia in Prague over 12 years ago, has become an acknowledged education and cultural institution," Zeman said. "It considerably contributes to the rapprochement of our nations, a growing awareness of the culture of Hispanophone countries and spread of the good name of the Kingdom of Spain," Zeman said. He invited Felipe VI and his wife for an official visit.
