President Milos Zeman's meeting with representatives of the Mayors and Independents (STAN) on Thursday marked the end of his series of separate talks with the nine parties in the new Chamber of Deputies, at which he discussed their positions within the post-election negotiations. At his meeting with ANO representatives in late October, Zeman instructed election-winning ANO leader Andrej Babis to start talks on forming a government. With the other parties' leaders, he discussed their positions on the composition of the new Chamber of Deputies and their approach to a planned minority government led by Babis.
