Kamil Humanski from Szczecin (NW Poland) has won one of the three second prizes of the EU Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS) with Aleksander Kostrzewa from Warsaw winning a Joint Research Centre (JRC) second prize. The prize of 5,000 euros went to Humanski for the project titled "Taxonomic diversity of the Middle Ordovician - early Silurian echinoderms from Siljansringen, Sweden". Humanski has also received a Stockholm International Youth Science seminar prize (SIYSS), and an invitation to a Nobel Prize awarding ceremony.
