Visegrad Group PMs to meet in Israel

PM's of the Visegrad Group states will hold a summit meeting in Jerusalem on February 18-19, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced on Monday. The Israeli-hosted summit, held for the first time outside the V4 countries, is to be attended by the PMs of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. The top level meeting will be held several days after a ministerial Middle East conference in Warsaw and less than two months before the April 9 elections in Israel. According to Noa Landau of the Haaretz daily, the summit is "part of Netanyahu's efforts to shake up EU consensus on issues related to the Palestinians and Iran." V4 PMs and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu previously met in Budapest in July 2017.
PAP
