VAT gap in Poland down to 7.2 percent in 2018

The VAT gap in Poland fell from 14.7 percent in 2017 to 7.2 percent in 2018 to PLN 13.8 billion (EUR 3.21 billion), according to a "fast" estimate by the Centre of Social and Economic Analyses. According to the Centre's Grzegorz Poniatowski, responsible for fiscal issues, the recent improvement of VAT collection in Poland is a clear effect of improved tax discipline.
