Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, which together make up the regional Visegrad Group (V4) should strive to achieve indivisible unity within the EU in order to promote shared interests, Czech President Milos Zeman said in Warsaw on Thursday. Milos Zeman was speaking at a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda. Zeman said he and Duda discussed, among other issues, "the attempts to destroy unity in the Visegrad Group's views." According to the Czech president, there are attempts to force on the V4 "certain European Commission views that infringe upon the principle of responsibility for one's own decisions." The Czech head of state also pointed out that during one of his first meetings with Andrzej Duda, he expressed his solidarity in rejecting "the European Commission's interference in Poland, in its internal matters."
