V4 states oppose Timmermans as EC president - Czech PM

Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Czechia have been and will be against Frans Timmermans becoming European Commission (EC) president, Czech PM Andrej Babis said after the EU summit today did not agree on who would be chosen for EU top posts today. Babis said Italy shared the stance of the V4. These countries made it clear that Timmermans as EC president would be "a huge problem" for them and they even presented some candidates, he added.
