US ambassador says Polish president's US visit strengthens relations

June 17th, 2019

US Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher has told PAP that the US visit by President Andrzej Duda and the deals signed in its course served to strengthen mutual relations, as well as Poland's energy and defence security. The US ambassador paid a visit to an air base in Krzesiny, in western Poland, on Monday after she had been invited to fly aboard an F-16 jet. Mosbacher underlined the importance of the Polish president's visit to the US, emphasising that both countries shared the same values. Pointing out that the US was a country that was home to 10 million Poles, the diplomat said that bilateral relations were very close. She also stressed that both countries were NATO members and that cooperation with their allies should be ever closer.
