Polish deputy PM and Culture Minister Piotr Glinski on Tuesday presented a UNESCO World Heritage List certificate to Poland's historical Tarnowskie Gory silver, lead and zinc mine to confirm its inclusion in the UNESCO register. "This is the 15th Polish site included on the world's most prestigious list of unique landmarks," Glinski said, stressing that the idea to build an international system of world heritage protection was from the very beginning strongly supported by Polish archaeologists and conservators.
