Unemployment rate down at 6.54 percent in August

The unemployment rate in Slovakia stood at 6.54 percent in August, down by 0.16 percentage points month-on-month and by 2.89 percentage points year-on-year, Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre (UPSVaR) general director Marian Valentovic told a press conference in Bratislava on Wednesday with Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Minister Jan Richter (Smer-SD) in attendance.
