Ukrainian President vows to solve problem of border crossings with Poland

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko assured President Andrzej Duda on Monday that the Ukrainian government was obliged to solve the restrictions introduced at Polish-Ukrainian border crossings, Krzysztof Szczerski, the president's aide, told PAP. Ukrainian motorists with foreign licence plates blocked access roads to the border crossings with Poland on Sunday. The drivers were dissatisfied with a tightening of the rules governing the entry of vehicles registered in third countries, which until now, due to legal loopholes, have been used without changing the licence number and paying duty on Ukrainian territory.
