The celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the British Embassy in Prague help boost bilateral relations and establish professional contacts between Czechs and Britons, British Ambassador to the Czech Republic Nick Archer has said in an interview with CTK. Primarily in the situation around Brexit, it is necessary to show that the Czech Republic and Britain have many joint interests on bilateral level as well, he added. It is apparent from Czech public officials' statements that they do not rejoice at Britain's upcoming departure from the EU, Archer said. Prague and London must communicate positively about their affairs on a bilateral level, as in many areas, the EU is not the platform that is the basis of cooperation, he added.
