The United Kingdom can count on Poland's support in the EU-UK negotiations over Britain's leaving the bloc, Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki said in an interview with the British television Channel 4, broadcast in the main news bulletin on Wednesday. Channel 4's Europe editor Matt Frei observed that Poland is particularly interested in the Brexit talks due to its desire to ensure the legal status of more than a million Poles living in the UK. PM Morawiecki admitted that there are different opinions in European capitals about the course of the Brexit negotiations, with some of them expecting a tougher stance towards London. Still, most countries, including Poland, preferred a compromise and a more flexible approach, he added.
