Two-week election campaign replaced by 48-hr moratorium before vote

An official moratorium on all campaigning has come into effect at 7 a.m. on Thursday, thus marking the end of the presidential election campaign. The moratorium will be in place for 48 hours. In addition, all activities promoting the candidates will be prohibited on election day (Saturday, March 16).
