Prosecutor Dobroslav Trnka casts doubt on the authenticity of the recording that has emerged in the media and contains his conversation with Marian K, in which he discussed rackets centred on the 2005-06 Gorilla case recording, TV Markiza reported on its evening news show on Tuesday. "Such a thing can be doctored very easily," the former prosecutor-general told TV Markiza. Trnka also rejects what the recorded conversation suggests, namely that he attempted to blackmail Penta financial group co-owner Jaroslav Hascak with the Gorilla case recording, once Hascak had already been blackmailed by Marian K. [The Gorilla case recording allegedly features Hascak's talks on bribes and kickbacks for the privatisation of state enterprises with political figures of the day - ed.note].
