Slovakia has dropped three places y-o-y in the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), published by Transparency International. Slovakia was placed 57th with 50 points out of 100. Mauritius was one place higher (56th) and Jordan and Saudi Arabia jointly one place lower (58th). Poland was placed highest (36th) among the Visegrad Four (V4) countries (Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary) closely followed by the Czech Republic (38th). The worst placed of the four was Hungary (64th). The top three in the index were Denmark, New Zealand and Finland in that order. Somalia was at the bottom of the table.
