Illegal migration, the growing threat of terrorism, and violence based on religious extremism in Europe are causally related, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Thursday. Commenting on a Foreign Affairs Council meeting, Szijjarto said on Facebook he had proposed that EU foreign ministers should discuss ways to stop migration outside of European Union borders as soon as possible. He also proposed holding a debate on the European Commission's migration package, which he said offered encouragement to people thinking about setting off for Europe.
