Szijjarto discusses bilateral cooperation with Latvian counterpart

Hungary sees bilateral cooperation in defence, political and economic issues with Latvia as mutually fruitful and welcomes that the two governments have similar positions in many areas regarding the future of Europe, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told a press conference on Friday after talks with his Latvian counterpart, Edgars Rinkevics. Szijjarto noted that in 2020 Hungary will again participate in the NATO mission to protect Baltic airspace. Hungary has also submitted its application to the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence in Riga, he said.
