Szijjarto congratulates new Israeli counterpart

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto on Thursday congratulated his recently appointed Israeli counterpart, Gabi Ashkenazi, on the formation of the country's new government, the foreign ministry said. During the phone call, Ashkenazi thanked Szijjarto for Hungary's "correct conduct" towards Israel, and for the commitment it had shown in standing up for the country. Szijjarto said Israel could continue to count on Hungary's "correct and balanced" stance regarding Israel.
