Sunday increase in COVID cases falls

September 14th, 2020

The Sunday increase in COVID cases was under 1,000 after five days as tests confirmed infection in 792 people, one half the Saturday number, according to the Czech Health Ministry's latest data. A total of 14,438 people have COVID-19 at present, most of them with a mild course of the disease. A total of 288 COVID patients stay in hospital, including 69 in serious condition. The Czech Republic has registered 36,188 coronavirus cases since March 1, when the first infections appeared in the country. Almost 21,300 of the patients have recovered and 456 died.
