Strong wind topples lorry on Slovakia's busiest bridge

A windstorm hit western Slovakia, and in particular the Bratislava area, late on Tuesday morning, with a strong wind tipping over a lorry on the country's busiest bridge, Pristavny most, Bratislava regional police directorate said on its Facebook page. The most severe, third-degree alert for strong winds was issued by the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) for Bratislava area between 10am and 2pm on Tuesday, with gusts expected to reach 115 kilometres per hour.
