Strong improvement in consumer confidence in April

The TNS Consumer Index indicator rose to + 9.8 points in April from + 4.7 points a month earlier, research from Kantar TNS shows. "The TNS Consumer Index indicator of consumer optimism rose to 9.8 points in April, which is the highest result since April 2008," the company wrote in a commentary pointing to a new record. The authors of the report believe there are good chances that the index will rise above 10 points in the coming months.
