State subsidies for electric cars in Slovakia spent within four minutes

The Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) on Monday relaunched registration of applications for subsidies for purchases of electric cars after the agency's server last week collapsed under a torrent of clicks and the registration was annulled. The 6 million euros budget allocated by the public-benefit agency to subsidise purchases of electric cars was spent within less than four minutes on Monday.
