Some 1.5 m foreigners working in Poland - dep minister

About 1.5 million foreigners are currently working in Poland, Deputy Family and Labour Minister Stanisław Szwed told a news conference on Wednesday. The ministry wants to simplify employment rules for Vietnamese and Filipino workers, he added. "More than 400,000 foreigners pay social insurance contributions, while a total of 1.5 million people from third countries are present in the Polish labour market," Szwed said. The ministry is working on expanding a list of countries whose citizens may work under simplified rules, the deputy minister added.
