Smer-SD announces further amendments to act on disability benefits
May 9th, 2018
MPs representing the senior governing party Smer-SD plan to submit to the parliamentary social committee an amendment proposal to increase the benefit for personal assistance paid to severely disabled people, said Smer-SD chair Robert Fico after the amendment to the Act on Cash Benefits for Compensation for Severe Disability was passed to its second reading. Conditions for drawing the contribution for disabled people who find a job could be adjusted, as well. The amendment along with other potential changes will be discussed at the parliamentary session scheduled for June.
