Smer-initiated house session on referendum to be held on Wednesday

A special parliamentary session initiated by the opposition Smer-SD party will be held on Wednesday, Parliamentary Vice-chair Gabor Grendel has told TASR, adding that the session will start at 2pm. Smer-SD proposes that MPs should approve a resolution on announcing a referendum. In the referendum Smer-SD wants to ask the public whether or not they want MPs to shorten the current electoral term by a constitutional law so that an early general election is held on June 30, 2021.
