Slovakia unemployment rate down to 5.04 pc in December

The unemployment rate in Slovakia stood at 5.04 percent in December 2018, down by 0.05 percentage points from November and by 0.90 points year-on-year, according to data released by the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre (UPSVR) on Monday. Meanwhile, the number of jobseekers immediately able to start work was 138,198 in December, a decrease of 1,329 individuals m-o-m and 23,717 y-o-y, said UPSVR general director Marian Valentovic.
