Slovakia OLaNO criticises ministry for 'funding magnate's pond'

The Slovak agriculture ministry has approved a subsidy of 330,000 euros for magnate Alexej Beljajev to create a pond at his house, the opposition OLaNO party said on Friday. According to MP Veronika Remisova, speaking at a press conference, Beljajev in the application for the subsidy described the digging of the pond as a project aimed at developing tourism, with its overall cost exceeding 600,000 euros.
