Slovakia first country to use Refundit VAT refund system

Slovakia and its capital Bratislava will be the first places to develop and implement a pilot digital platform called 'Refundit', which will enable visitors to easily apply for a VAT refund on purchases and exports of goods from the country, thereby making Slovakia more attractive for tourists, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini said on Monday when presenting the project alongside its creators from Israel, Uri Levine and Ziv Tirosh.
