Slovakia recorded eight new cases of coronavirus infection on Monday, increasing the total tally to 1,421, the National Health Information Centre (NCZI) reported on a social network on Tuesday. In all, 99,864 people have been tested, with 2,060 tests carried out on Monday alone. A total of 741 people have recovered from COVID-19, with 98 such cases reported on Monday. Hospitals have admitted 159 people either with confirmed COVID-19 (39 cases), or suspected of contracting the virus. Six people are in intensive care and one is on lung ventilation. No new coronavirus death was posted on Monday. The number of coronavirus-related fatalities in Slovakia thus keeps at 25.
