The Transport and Construction Ministry is launching new train connections in Slovak regions as of July 4 for the duration of the entire summer season, with an eye towards supporting tourism, transport minister Andrej Dolezal (We Are Family nominee) announced at a press briefing held in Spisske Podhradie (Presov region) on Thursday. "I'm glad that, in co-operation with the tourism section of the [railway passenger carrier] ZSSK Slovensko, we managed to launch the concept of the so-called summer tourism trains. We've identified the seven most interesting locations in Slovakia in our view from the west to the east," claimed Dolezal.
