February 8th, 2019
The Supreme Court has rejected the complaints of Radovan Znasik and Jan Molnar, whose candidacies for the post of president were rejected by House Speaker Andrej Danko. Both Znasik and Molnar appealed to the Supreme Court on February 4. Znasik submitted the required number of signatures in support of his presidential candidacy, but he failed to meet the age condition. Molnar wanted to run with the support of MPs. He submitted 15 signatures from lawmakers to Parliament, but the MPs claim he obtained their signatures from them by trickery.
