The Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) has an ambition to launch its own mobility programme to fight the brain drain of Slovak talent, SAV chairman Pavol Sajgalik told TASR on Friday. The academy's project called MoRePro aims to create the continuity of efforts to motivate Slovak scientists working and living abroad to return home. "The MoRePro project should ensure similar conditions to those we were provided from the Horizon 2020 scheme, though we'll cover it entirely from our own financial resources," said Sajgalik. Another goal, he said, was to internationalise research teams within the SAV. "It's an inevitable condition if the research at the Academy is to achieve world parameters," the SAV chairman added.
