Slovak president expresses grief over Vrutky tragedy

June 11th, 2020

"I feel great sadness and grief over the tragedy that took place at the primary and secondary school on M.R. Stefanik Street in Vrutky (Zilina region)," President Zuzana Caputova wrote on a social network. "I express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and support for all the injured children, teachers and police officers. I don't understand and don't know the background of this insane attack," she said on social media. The incident at the school in Vrutky claimed the lives of two people and five more are wounded, including children.
