The Slovak interior ministry is planning to make it possible for police officers to use cameras during police raids as early as in the first half of 2019, the ministry's press department told TASR in reference to a letter written by Ombudsman Maria Patakyova in which she called on Interior Minister Denisa Sakova (Smer-SD) to introduce camera systems during police raids without delay. According to the ministry, police officers who take care of public order should be among the first to obtain the camera systems.
