Slovak NGOs to receive 30m euros from tax revenues

May 21st, 2013

Around 14 percent of all taxpayers, or 160,000 individuals and companies subject to income-tax, excluding people whose tax declarations are filed by their employers, directed a certain percentage of their income-tax payments for 2012 to eligible organisations, TASR learnt from Financial Directorate spokesperson Patricia Macikova on Tuesday. The donations to civil associations, non-profit bodies, foundations and other entities amount close to 30 million euros, Macikova said. The figure is set to rise further after tax declarations filed by companies on behalf of their staff are considered.
