In a joint statement released on Monday, editors-in-chief of Slovak media condemned the murder of Aktuality.sk investigative journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancé, and called on the state to do its utmost to make sure that the freedom of speech is not threatened. "We express our sympathies to the families of the journalist and his girlfriend, our solidarity with our colleagues and commitment to them to continue with the issues that Kuciak was working on," their statement said.
