Slovak interior minister survives no-confidence vote

December 6th, 2017

Interior Minister Robert Kalinak will retain his post, as the opposition failed to oust him for the third time on Wednesday, garnering only 53 votes from the 128 MPs present for its motion of no-confidence in parliament. This time the opposition wanted to oust Kalinak over his repeated failures in his post. With one break between 2010-2012, Kalinak has been holding the post of interior minister since 2006.
