Health Minister Andrea Kalavska has expressed her belief that the finance ministry "will not let Slovak hospitals collapse". The two ministries are currently holding talks on the need to fund health care, Kalavska confirmed for TASR. The Slovak Hospitals Association (ANS) also noted that there is a lack of money in the ministry. "The result of all previous talks of ANS with insurance companies on considering the financial requirements necessary to cover legal claims of hospitals associated under ANS in 2019 is that the common denominator, namely the need to fund the ministry, remains unresolved, despite various offers on covering the social package and recreational vouchers," stated manager of ANS' Office Miroslav Valastik.
