Slovak govt approves new anti-terrorism legislation

Slovakia will have new criminal law provisions in its fight against terrorism, which were prepared by the justice ministry and take into account Slovakia's international commitments, expert opinions and problems with putting measures into practice. The draft amendment to the Criminal Code, which was approved by the government on Wednesday, also includes European rules on procedural safeguards for children who are involved in criminal proceedings.
