Five Slovak farmers at a hearing at the European Parliament (EP) in Brussels on Wednesday evening (May 23) spoke about the issues that they've been facing in Slovakia in connection with their work, including farm subsidy fraud, persecution and the idleness of Slovak state authorities, TASR learnt on Thursday. The hearing before MEPs, representatives of the European Commission and the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF) was organised by Slovak MEP Ivan Stefanec. Partly with the help of video recordings, Patrik Magdosko, Marian Micko, Frantisek Oravec, Zsolt Molnar and Daniel Tiza reported how they became victims of agriculture subsidy fraud.
