Organisations representing employers in Slovakia on Tuesday expressed their support for measures aimed at boosting labour mobility from so-called third (non-EU) countries. Employers want to encourage legislators to approve an amendment to the law on employment services, which deals with employing foreigners and is slated to be discussed in the House. "We currently need approximately 100,000 workers," said Republican Union of Employers (RUZ) vice-president Mario Lelovsky at a briefing, adding that if the amendment is approved, the process linked to employing foreigners should be shortened from around 150 days to 90.
