Slovak defence minister on army modernisation

The current modernisation of the army is the largest in Slovakia's history, Defence Minister Peter Gajdos said at a press conference, and gave information about military purchases and re-declared their intention to increase soldiers' salaries, TASR learnt on Friday. He highlighted the purchase of Spartan aircraft as well as nine Black Hawk helicopters, the agreement to purchase F16 fighters and the purchase of Polaris and Tatra vehicles.
